Who we are

Jess Wroughton Co. LLC is a messaging and strategy consultancy based in St. Louis, Missouri. We help mission-driven teams find the words to describe the work they do.

What information we collect

We only collect what we need to serve you well.

Information you give us. When you fill out a form on our site, join a waitlist, download a resource, or book a call, we collect the details you choose to share. That usually means your name and email address, and sometimes a short message about what you’re looking for.

Booking information. When you schedule a call with us, our scheduling tool (TidyCal) collects your name, email, and the time you selected so we can meet with you.

Payment information. If you become a client and pay for a service, payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours collects some basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. Our hosting provider (Pressable) and its built-in tools (including Jetpack) collect this to keep the site running, secure, and to help us understand general traffic patterns. We may also add a web analytics tool such as Google Analytics in the future to better understand how visitors use the site.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• respond to your messages and requests
• schedule and hold calls with you
• deliver the resources or services you asked for
• process payments for services you purchase
• send you occasional updates or resources, only if you asked to receive them
• keep our site secure and working properly
• meet our legal and tax obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.

Our use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help with tasks like drafting and research, always with human review before anything reaches you. We do not use AI to make automated decisions about you, and we do not feed sensitive client information into public AI tools.

Who we share your information with

We share your information only with the trusted service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do their job. These include our email and scheduling tools, our payment processor (Stripe), and our website host (Pressable). Each of these has its own privacy practices. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax records). When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your choices and rights

You are always in control of your information. You can:

• ask us what personal information we have about you
• ask us to correct or delete it
• unsubscribe from any emails at any time using the link in the email, or by writing to us

To make any of these requests, email jess@jesswroughton.com and we’ll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state or country’s privacy laws, and we honor those requests.

Cookies

Our site and its tools may use cookies, which are small files stored on your device that help the site work and help us understand general usage. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may work less smoothly if you do.

Children’s privacy

Our services are meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we’ll do our best to let you know.
